Sydney

Great to be back, full on though!
Understanding everything people are saying as you walk past them, sit
next to them, is like being on mild acid, people's thought penetrating
your head when you didn't ask for it.

Road traffic seems to be boss in this country with pedestrians a sad
second, stuck on footpaths not wide enough and obviously tacked on the
side of the road itself.
Bike lanes are only affordable if there is spare car real estate on
said road.
The city itself in far from being alive again in all areas - with some
areas looking pretty much deserted, boarded up and alone, adding to
people not feeling at home where they live.

On the upside my friends cafe made me a cafe latte with my name on it
- a first.

Australia for 5 weeks - 1st post in a while

It's Christmas time and haven't been home for a while. So I return to
catch up with mum and dad, family, and friends in 3 cities.
The following is my observations on returning home to Australia for 5
weeks.

Flou

Flou (pronounced "flew") is not exactly a game; you do fly a ship through space, but you cannot shoot anything, score points, or win or lose. The focus, rather, is on the soundtrack: as you navigate through a 3D world and zoom through objects in space, you add loops and apply effects to an ever-evolving musical mix. You can also design your own worlds to fly through and share them with other Flou users.

Thinking Through 10 Dimensions

does a superb job walking us through dimensions 1-10 in a way that is clear, concise, and pretty incredible to contemplate.

It's safe to assume that most all of us are challenged in our understanding of those dimensions that theoretically exist beyond our own, wonderful, and seemingly complete 3rd dimension. This video, somewhat similar in approach to those by Common Craft, does a superb job walking us through dimensions 1-10 in a way that is clear, concise, and pretty incredible to contemplate.
